Antique Mirrors and Resilvering
One of our specialty services is creating, from plain glass, decorative mirror in antique colored patterns to impart an aged look such as is found in 18th or 19th century engraved decorative mirror and mirrored furniture or in old Venetian mirrors. Aged styles such as mercury antique, french antique, smoked antique, antique gold vein and antique Venetian, to name a few, work surprisingly well in modern decors as well as in classic or old traditional settings.
We can also restore your oxidized, deteriorating specialty or heirloom mirror back to its original clarity and brilliance by the process of resilvering, which is, removing the old paint and reflective layer and applying a new backing of real silver.
